Courses: Provide First Aid HLTAID011 and Advanced Resuscitation with Oxygen Therapy HLTAID015 – Nationally Accredited training

We are now able to offer to Sorrento Members these two Awards as FREE courses thanks to funding via SLSWA.

If you need to upgrade an existing Award that is due to expire in the next two to three months, are looking to have a role on a Patrol as a First Aider or simply wish to learn more, this is a great opportunity.

We are taking expressions of interest from all members over the age of 15 for both courses. Before dates are fixed we need to gauge how many are keen but will be held at the Club on either Saturday or Sunday during August.

Please message the Club with your choice/s of course and which day (Sat or Sun or both) you are available.

Provide First Aid HLTAID011 8 hours

Minimum participants 8

Maximum participants 20

Advanced Resuscitation HLTAID015 6 hours

Minimum participants 6

Maximum participants 16

Multiple courses can be arranged if the numbers interested exceed this.

To be part of the ADVANCED course you must either have a current Provide First Aid Certificate (3 year validity) or attend the Provide First Aid course prior – they will be arranged that way when dates are set.

FAQ

Yes this covers your proficiency theory (dry) for the new season.

Yes this Award will be put in your Surfguard Awards list; Your SLSWA ART and or First AID will be upgraded at the same time.

No this is not a requal for your SLSWA ART – that will be arranged later.

Yes these certificates are valid outside of Surflife Saving

As soon as numbers are in we can advise dates and start times.
